The Nickerson Ledge Trail is a short connector from the Piper Trail to the Carter Ledge Trail below the Three Sisters. It is often used to make a loop with the Piper Trail or Weetamoo Trail, but the Nickerson Ledge side of the loop is longer and more difficult than either of the others.

The trail is located SW of Conway, off NH Route 16
South End: Piper Trail about 1.4 miles N of NH Route 16, elevation about 1330 feet
North End: Carter Ledge Trail about 1.7 miles below Middle Sister Trail, elevation about 1730 feet

The Nickerson Ledge Trail heads uphill from the Piper Trail, at .3 miles passing a ledge R where limited views can be obtained. It then runs fairly level to the Carter Ledge Trail at .8 miles, which can be followed L 1.7 miles to the Middle Sister Trail near the summit of the easterly Sister. This section of the Carter Ledge Trail is rougher with more ledge scrambling than the parallel section of the Piper Trail, but offers more views. The Middle Sister Trail can be used to return to the Piper Trail.
