Trail Description - Cotton Mountain Trail

About Trail Descriptions

The Cotton Mountain Trail runs from an old gravel pit off NH Route 113 to a viewpoint near the SE summit of Cotton Mountain, from which the Crawford-Ridgepole Trail leads over the rest of the Squam Range. This viewpoint is less visited than Mount Morgan or The Rattlesnakes, and much work has been done recently to improve the trail with rock steps and waterbars.

This trail does not reach the true summit of Cotton Mountain which is about half a mile away, involving a bushwhack past two cutover areas with a steep bump between.
